Where are you based?
I live in the rural village of Weir which is just outside Bacup in Lancashire. My address and contact details are on the homepage.
How do I secure a date?
A non refundable deposit will secure the date. The exact amount will be stated at the time of booking.
The final balance paid upon collection/delivery.
How much notice do you need?
It depends upon what other cakes I have that week or the level of detail/modelling that is required for your cake. I can sometimes make a cake with just a few days notice so get in touch and I just might be able to help you. I can however, get booked up very quickly as I only take on limited orders due to the fact that I can therefore devote my time to your cake and add the details to make your cake special.
My advice is that if you want me to make your cake then secure the date with a deposit.
How do you make the cakes?
All the cakes are baked to order using fresh ingredients. I don't freeze my cakes as you are paying for a premium fresh product.
What flavours do you make?
My most popular sponges are vanilla, chocolate, lemon sponge, rich fruitcake, toffee and coffee. Various flavoured buttercreams are can be used to create taste sensations such as vanilla, white chocolate, coffee, toffee, Oreo, etc Ganache (chocolate and cream) is used as a coating under the sugarpaste to give stability and structure.
Do you deliver?
Yes I can deliver cakes.
Please ask at the time of booking for delivery times and delivery charges (based upon mileage).
I strongly recommend that I deliver and set up your wedding cake for you.
If I am delivering a cake and setting up at the venue I will liaise with the staff there weeks before your wedding and on the day itself. I will take a photo and video of the cake once I have set it up. If the cake is moved or disturbed by venue staff, Perfect Party Cakes cannot be held responsible for any damage to the cake. Please ensure that you speak to your wedding co-ordinator at the venue and make them aware of your views regarding the cake and where it should be placed. It should not be near a window (heat!) or close to a door (risk of being damaged) and it should not be moved once I have set it up. Your cake should be in a place where all your guests (and yourself) can admire it
Do you have any more photos?
Feel free to look at my Facebook page and Instagram #perfectpartycakes where there are more photos and close ups too that show you the detail of many of my cakes.
I'm not sure what cake I want.
Many customers just give me a brief such as "Room on the Broom cake please". I then have free reign and the customer has a great surprise when they collect their cake. It's entirely up to you.
How do I pay?
Payment can be made by bank transfer or by popping payment through my letter box or seeing me and paying by card.
Before making any payment, please discuss the main points with me and to ensure that the date is available.

Other points to note.
Once the cake is collected it is your responsibility.
You will be advised upon collection if there are any non edible supports in the cake and how to remove them. (Some models may require supports and so will not be edible). You will also be advised on how to store the cake (room temperature for sugarpaste covered cakes and NOT in the fridge).
The cake needs to be transported on a flat surface (a car boot is ideal) and not a a sloping car seat or on a friend's knee.
The cake should not be left in a vehicle for a prolonged period of time. Please be aware of heat and humidity and how it can effect the cake if left (too hot or too cold can affect the internal structure of a cake and cause it to collapse).
If you are taking the cake to a venue or restaurant, please ensure these instructions are passed on to any relevant people as Perfect Party Cakes cannot be held responsible for the mishandling of the cake in anyway.
